नई दिल्ली: दुनिया के सबसे लोकप्रिय मैसेजिंग ऐप WhatsApp जल्द ही अपने यूजर्स के लिए एक बड़ा प्राइवेसी फीचर लेकर आ रहा है। अब यूजर्स बिना अपना मोबाइल नंबर साझा किए भी एक-दूसरे से जुड़ सकेंगे। इसके लिए WhatsApp ने Username फीचर की शुरुआत की है, जिसकी बुकिंग (रिजर्वेशन) इस सप्ताह से शुरू हो गई है। फीचर को आने वाले महीनों में चरणबद्ध तरीके से सभी यूजर्स के लिए जारी किया जाएगा।
इस नए फीचर के तहत हर यूजर अपनी पसंद का एक यूनिक यूजरनेम चुन सकेगा। इसके बाद किसी नए व्यक्ति से संपर्क करने के लिए मोबाइल नंबर साझा करने की जरूरत नहीं होगी। सामने वाला सिर्फ यूजरनेम के जरिए चैट शुरू कर सकेगा, जिससे यूजर्स की निजता पहले से ज्यादा सुरक्षित रहेगी।
ऐसे कर सकेंगे Username रिजर्व
यूजर WhatsApp का लेटेस्ट वर्जन अपडेट करने के बाद Settings > Account > Username में जाकर अपना पसंदीदा यूजरनेम चुन सकेंगे। यदि चुना गया यूजरनेम उपलब्ध होगा, तो उसे रिजर्व किया जा सकेगा। Meta ने बताया है कि लगभग 3 अरब यूजर्स को देखते हुए यूजरनेम रिजर्वेशन पहले शुरू किया गया है, ताकि लोग अपनी पसंद का नाम सुरक्षित कर सकें।
प्राइवेसी पर रहेगा खास फोकस
WhatsApp ने साफ किया है कि यह फीचर सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म की तरह पब्लिक प्रोफाइल बनाने के लिए नहीं है। यूजरनेम की कोई सार्वजनिक डायरेक्टरी नहीं होगी और न ही ऐप किसी यूजरनेम का सुझाव देगा। किसी व्यक्ति से संपर्क करने के लिए उसका सटीक यूजरनेम पता होना जरूरी होगा। इसके अलावा, अतिरिक्त सुरक्षा के लिए यूजरनेम-की (Username Key) का विकल्प भी दिया जाएगा।
बिजनेस और क्रिएटर्स को भी होगा फायदा
यह फीचर बिजनेस, ब्रांड और कंटेंट क्रिएटर्स के लिए भी काफी उपयोगी माना जा रहा है। वे अपना यूनिक यूजरनेम बनाकर ग्राहकों और फॉलोअर्स से आसानी से जुड़ सकेंगे, जबकि उनका निजी मोबाइल नंबर सार्वजनिक नहीं होगा। साथ ही, Meta प्रमुख ब्रांडों और सार्वजनिक हस्तियों के यूजरनेम पहले से सुरक्षित रखेगा, ताकि फर्जी अकाउंट और प्रतिरूपण (Impersonation) को रोका जा सके।
