नई दिल्ली: भारतीय विशिष्ट पहचान प्राधिकरण (यूआईडीएआई) ने आज आधार के आधिकारिक शुभंकर ‘उदय’ को जारी किया। यह शुभंकर आम नागरिकों से संवाद कर आधार सेवाओं को सरल, सहज और सुलभ तरीके से समझाने में सहायक होगा। ‘उदय’ के माध्यम से आधार अपडेट, प्रमाणीकरण, ऑफलाइन सत्यापन, जानकारी साझा करना, नई तकनीकों का उपयोग और जिम्मेदार उपयोग जैसे विषयों पर प्रभावी संचार किया जाएगा।
इस शुभंकर के चयन के लिए यूआईडीएआई ने मायगॉव प्लेटफॉर्म पर एक खुली राष्ट्रीय डिजाइन एवं नामकरण प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की, जिसमें देशभर से उत्साहजनक भागीदारी देखने को मिली। छात्रों, पेशेवरों और डिजाइनरों से कुल 875 प्रविष्टियां प्राप्त हुईं। सभी प्रविष्टियों का बहुस्तरीय और निष्पक्ष मूल्यांकन किया गया, जिसके बाद ‘उदय’ का चयन किया गया।
डिजाइन प्रतियोगिता में केरल के त्रिशूर निवासी अरुण गोकुल प्रथम विजेता रहे। महाराष्ट्र के पुणे के इदरीस दवाईवाला को द्वितीय तथा उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजीपुर के कृष्णा शर्मा को तृतीय पुरस्कार मिला।
वहीं नामकरण प्रतियोगिता में भोपाल की रिया जैन प्रथम, पुणे के इदरीस दवाईवाला द्वितीय और हैदराबाद के महाराज सरन चेल्लापिल्ला तृतीय स्थान पर रहे।
यूआईडीएआई के अध्यक्ष नीलकंठ मिश्रा ने तिरुवनंतपुरम में आयोजित समारोह में शुभंकर ‘उदय’ का अनावरण करते हुए विजेताओं को सम्मानित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि यह पहल एक अरब से अधिक आधार उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए संचार को अधिक समावेशी और सुलभ बनाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।
यूआईडीएआई के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी भुवनेश कुमार ने कहा कि खुली राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से जनभागीदारी ने आधार के विश्वास और स्वीकार्यता के मूल सिद्धांत को और मजबूत किया है।
वहीं उप महानिदेशक विवेक सी. वर्मा ने कहा कि ‘उदय’ एक मित्र और मार्गदर्शक के रूप में लोगों को आधार से जुड़ी जानकारी आसानी से उपलब्ध कराने में सहायक होगा।
