नई दिल्ली: जीएसटी काउंसिल की दो दिवसीय बैठक 3 सितंबर से शुरू हो चुकी है। यह बैठक तय समय से पहले बुलाई गई है और इसमें जीएसटी सुधारों को लेकर अहम फैसले लिए जाने की संभावना है। वर्तमान में जीएसटी चार स्लैब (5%, 12%, 18% और 28%) में लागू है, लेकिन काउंसिल इस ढांचे को सरल बनाने पर विचार कर रही है। प्रस्ताव है कि करीब 99% वस्तुएँ, जो अभी 12% स्लैब में आती हैं, उन्हें 5% स्लैब में शिफ्ट किया जाए। इसी तरह लगभग 90% सामान, जो फिलहाल 28% स्लैब में शामिल हैं, उन्हें 18% स्लैब में लाने पर विचार किया जाएगा। माना जा रहा है कि बैठक में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा लाल किले की प्राचीर से किए गए ऐलान को ध्यान में रखते हुए अंतिम फैसला लिया जा सकता है।
क्या-क्या होगा सस्ता?
अगर जीएसटी काउंसिल 12% और 28% वाले स्लैब को हटाकर वस्तुओं को 5% और 18% स्लैब में शामिल करती है, तो इन सामानों की कीमतें घट सकती हैं:
- 12% से 5% में आने वाले सामान:
प्रोसेस्ड फूड प्रोडक्ट्स (पैकेज्ड मिठाइयाँ, नमकीन, टोमैटो सॉस, पापड़ आदि), रेडीमेड गारमेंट्स और फुटवियर, घरेलू उपयोग की वस्तुएँ (वॉशिंग पाउडर, ब्रश, पंखा आदि), फर्नीचर, प्लास्टिक प्रोडक्ट्स और इलेक्ट्रिकल एक्सेसरीज़। - 28% से 18% में आने वाले सामान:
घरेलू इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स (टीवी, फ्रिज, एसी, वॉशिंग मशीन), टू-व्हीलर और मिड-सेगमेंट कारें, कॉस्मेटिक प्रोडक्ट्स और परफ्यूम, पेंट्स, सीमेंट और अन्य कंस्ट्रक्शन मटेरियल।
क्या होगा महंगा?
रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, जीएसटी स्लैब में बदलाव के बाद कुछ वस्तुओं पर टैक्स और बढ़ाया जा सकता है। इसमें शराब और लग्ज़री सामान जैसे उत्पाद शामिल हैं।

इन बदलावों से आम उपभोक्ताओं को राहत मिलेगी क्योंकि रोज़मर्रा के सामान सस्ते होंगे। वहीं, उद्योग जगत को बिक्री बढ़ाने और घरेलू खपत को प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा। इसका असर मैन्युफैक्चरिंग और रोजगार पर भी सकारात्मक रूप से देखने को मिल सकता है। विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि यह कदम घरेलू उद्योगों को मजबूती देगा और अर्थव्यवस्था में नई रफ्तार ला सकता है।
