नई दिल्ली: कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन (EPFO) ने अपने करोड़ों अंशधारकों के हित में एक ऐतिहासिक फैसला लिया है। अब उन पीएफ खातों में फंसी छोटी राशियों को निकालने के लिए कर्मचारियों को दफ्तरों के चक्कर नहीं काटने होंगे, जिनमें ₹1000 तक की रकम जमा है और जो लंबे समय से निष्क्रिय पड़े हैं। ईपीएफओ ने निर्णय लिया है कि ऐसी राशि अब सीधे खाताधारकों के आधार से लिंक बैंक खातों में भेज दी जाएगी।
7 लाख से अधिक कर्मचारियों को मिलेगा सीधा लाभ
सरकार के इस कदम से देश भर के लगभग 7 लाख से अधिक ऐसे खाताधारकों को राहत मिलेगी, जिनका पैसा तकनीकी कारणों या जानकारी के अभाव में सिस्टम में फंसा हुआ था। आंकड़ों के अनुसार, इन निष्क्रिय खातों में करीब ₹30 करोड़ से ज्यादा की राशि जमा है। इस नई व्यवस्था की सबसे बड़ी खासियत यह है कि इसके लिए खाताधारकों को न तो कोई आवेदन (Claim Form) देना होगा और न ही किसी लंबी कागजी प्रक्रिया से गुजरना होगा।
स्वतः (Automatic) ट्रांसफर होगी रकम
डिजिटलीकरण को बढ़ावा देते हुए ईपीएफओ ने इस प्रक्रिया को पूरी तरह ‘ऑटोमैटिक’ बना दिया है। जिन खातों में ₹1000 या उससे कम का बैलेंस है, विभाग उनके ‘नो योर कस्टमर’ (KYC) विवरण और आधार से जुड़े बैंक खातों की जांच करेगा। डेटा मैच होते ही पैसा स्वतः ही ट्रांसफर कर दिया जाएगा। इससे उन लोगों को सबसे ज्यादा फायदा होगा जो छोटी रकम के लिए जटिल क्लेम प्रोसेस से बचना चाहते थे।
क्या होता है ‘इनऑपरेटिव’ (Inoperative) अकाउंट?
नियमों के अनुसार, जब किसी पीएफ खाते में लगातार 3 साल (36 महीने) तक कोई नया अंशदान जमा नहीं होता या कोई लेन-देन नहीं होता, तो उसे ‘निष्क्रिय’ या इनऑपरेटिव मान लिया जाता है। अक्सर नौकरी बदलने के बाद पुराना पीएफ ट्रांसफर न करने, अचानक नौकरी छोड़ने या रिटायरमेंट के बाद पैसा न निकालने की स्थिति में खाते निष्क्रिय हो जाते हैं।
सेवाओं को सरल बनाने की दिशा में बड़ा कदम
इस पहल के पीछे सरकार का मुख्य उद्देश्य निष्क्रिय खातों में फंसे छोटे अमाउंट का निपटारा करना और ईपीएफओ के डेटाबेस को साफ-सुथरा बनाना है। यह कदम ईपीएफओ की सेवाओं को अधिक पारदर्शी, तेज और यूजर-फ्रेंडली बनाने की दिशा में एक बड़ी उपलब्धि माना जा रहा है।
ईपीएफओ के इस फैसले से न केवल लाखों पूर्व कर्मचारियों को उनका हक मिलेगा, बल्कि विभाग पर भी क्लेम सेटलमेंट का बोझ कम होगा। अब छोटे बैलेंस के लिए महीनों का इंतजार और भाग-दौड़ बीते वक्त की बात हो जाएगी।
