भुवनेश्वर: पूर्व केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान ने NEET पेपर लीक विवाद और अपने इस्तीफे को लेकर पहली बार विस्तार से अपनी बात रखी है। भुवनेश्वर में शनिवार को उन्होंने कहा कि NEET को लेकर हुए विरोध प्रदर्शनों के दौरान Gen Z यानी युवा पीढ़ी को गुमराह करने की कोशिश की गई, और यही उनके इस्तीफे के फैसले की एक अहम वजह बनी।
प्रधान ने कहा कि उन्होंने NEET विवाद की जिम्मेदारी शुरुआत से ही ली थी। उनका कहना है कि देश के प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों का भविष्य परीक्षा में गड़बड़ी करने वाले लोगों की वजह से खराब नहीं होना चाहिए। उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि उनका इस्तीफा व्यक्तिगत प्रतिष्ठा का मुद्दा नहीं था, बल्कि छात्रों और देश के हित को ध्यान में रखते हुए लिया गया फैसला था।
Gen Z की ताकत को नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता
प्रधान ने Gen Z को देश की एक प्रभावशाली और महत्वपूर्ण पीढ़ी बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के युवा अपनी बात रखने के लिए सोशल मीडिया और नए डिजिटल माध्यमों का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं। उनके मुताबिक, इस पीढ़ी की ऊर्जा, सोच और महत्वाकांक्षा को नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता।
इस्तीफे के बाद खत्म हुआ आंदोलन
लगातार कई हफ्तों तक चले विरोध के बाद धर्मेंद्र प्रधान ने 25 जुलाई 2026 को केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री के पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया। इसके बाद आंदोलन का नेतृत्व कर रहे छात्रों ने भी अपना विरोध समाप्त करने की घोषणा की।
प्रधान का कहना है कि इस पूरे घटनाक्रम से यह भी सामने आया कि Gen Z को केवल सोशल मीडिया पर सक्रिय पीढ़ी समझना सही नहीं है। जरूरत पड़ने पर यह युवा पीढ़ी राष्ट्रीय मुद्दों पर अपनी आवाज संगठित तरीके से उठा सकती है।
NEET विवाद ने जहां परीक्षा व्यवस्था और जवाबदेही पर सवाल खड़े किए, वहीं इस आंदोलन ने भारतीय राजनीति में Gen Z की बढ़ती भूमिका को भी चर्चा के केंद्र में ला दिया है।
