Hyderabad: KETO Motors has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana to set up a modern electric bus manufacturing facility in Jadcherla. The agreement was finalized at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 in Bharat Future City. With an investment of INR 300 crore, the new plant will focus on producing 9-metre electric buses and is projected to generate over 2,000 direct jobs in the next three years. The Government of Telangana will support the project through fast-track approvals under the TG-iPASS single-window system, strengthening the state’s growing role in clean mobility and EV manufacturing.

Welcoming the investment, Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, said, “Telangana continues to lead India’s transition to clean mobility by building a strong and future-ready electric vehicle ecosystem. The investment by KETO Motors in Jadcherla strengthens our EV value chain, boosts advanced manufacturing, and creates large-scale employment opportunities for our youth.” He added that the state remains committed to innovation, emerging technologies, and long-term sustainable growth.

Speaking about the new venture, Mr. Venkatesh Challa, Director at KETO Motors, said, “Telangana has emerged as one of the most forward-looking states for EV manufacturing. The new facility at Jadcherla will allow us to expand production, build globally benchmarked electric buses, and contribute meaningfully to the state’s vision for sustainable transportation.”
