Bengaluru: At the Bangalore edition of IVCA Circles 2025, Shri Priyank M. Kharge, Karnataka’s Minister for Electronics, IT, Biotechnology, and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, highlighted the state’s vision to become a global leader in deeptech. Speaking on the theme “Unlocking India’s DeepTech Potential,” he said Karnataka is entering its “Deep Tech Decade,” focusing on research-led entrepreneurship and innovation.

Shri Kharge emphasized that the state is investing across the entire startup ecosystem from research, skill development, incubation, to acceleration- aiming to build globally employable talent and empower entrepreneurs beyond Bengaluru. “Our goal is to enable the next generation of deeptech solutions that will shape India’s future,” he said.

The discussion also highlighted Union Government initiatives, including the ₹10,000 crore deeptech fund of funds and ₹1 lakh crore RDI Fund, which, when combined with state programs, can boost India’s global competitiveness.

IVCA Circles, Bangalore Edition brought together over 3,600 deeptech startups, investors, and policymakers to explore how innovations in semiconductors, biotech, clean energy, space, and advanced computing can move from labs to markets. Shri Kharge’s leadership and initiatives like ELEVATE 100, NAIN, and Centers of Excellence continue to strengthen Karnataka’s position as a leading global deeptech and startup hub.
