New Delhi: भारत का मीडिया और एंटरटेनमेंट सेक्टर तेजी से बढ़ रहा है और 2027 तक इसके 3 लाख करोड़ रुपए के पार जाने का अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है। भारतीय दूरसंचार नियामक प्राधिकरण (ट्राई) के अध्यक्ष अनिल कुमार लाहोटी ने कहा कि इस क्षेत्र के अगले विकास चरण को गति देने के लिए संतुलित नीतियों और नवाचार की जरूरत है।
फिक्की फ्रेम्स के 25वें संस्करण में बोलते हुए उन्होंने बताया कि 2024 में मीडिया और एंटरटेनमेंट सेक्टर ने भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था में 2.5 लाख करोड़ रुपए का योगदान दिया, जबकि 2027 तक यह आंकड़ा 3 लाख करोड़ रुपए से अधिक होने की उम्मीद है। अकेले टेलीविजन और ब्रॉडकास्टिंग सेगमेंट ने ही पिछले साल करीब 68,000 करोड़ रुपए की कमाई की।
उन्होंने कहा कि एनालॉग से डिजिटल और अब 4के ब्रॉडकास्टिंग तक का सफर स्मार्ट टीवी, 5जी और ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म की वजह से और भी मजबूत हुआ है, जो आज 60 करोड़ से ज़्यादा यूजर्स तक पहुँच रहे हैं। फिर भी, देश के 19 करोड़ टीवी घरों में पारंपरिक टेलीविजन अभी भी प्रमुख माध्यम बना हुआ है।
लाहोटी ने आगे बताया कि ट्राई की कोशिश इनोवेशन और निष्पक्ष प्रतिस्पर्धा के ज़रिए संतुलित विकास को बढ़ावा देने की है। साथ ही, उन्होंने भारत के एफएम रेडियो को डिजिटल युग में ले जाने के लिए नई नीति की सिफारिशों का भी ज़िक्र किया, जिससे देश के 13 शहरों में डिजिटल रेडियो प्रसारण शुरू करने का मार्ग प्रशस्त होगा।
