New Delhi: बिहार में विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण (एसआईआर) को लेकर चुनाव आयोग सक्रिय है। विपक्षी दल इस मुद्दे पर लगातार सवाल उठा रहे हैं, लेकिन आयोग ने स्पष्ट किया है कि 1 अगस्त 2025 को प्रकाशित ड्राफ्ट लिस्ट में 7.24 करोड़ मतदाताओं में से 99.11 प्रतिशत के दस्तावेज पहले ही प्राप्त हो चुके हैं।
चुनाव आयोग ने बताया कि पिछले छह महीनों में राष्ट्रीय और राज्य स्तरीय राजनीतिक दलों के साथ व्यापक चर्चा की गई और लंबे समय से लंबित आवश्यकताओं को पूरा किया गया। इस दिशा में आयोग ने सभी मान्यता प्राप्त दलों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ 4,719 बैठकें आयोजित कीं, जिनमें सीईओ द्वारा 40, डीईओ द्वारा 800 और ईआरओ द्वारा 3,879 बैठकें शामिल थीं। इन बैठकों में 28,000 से अधिक राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधियों ने हिस्सा लिया।
मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार ने मार्च में सीईओ सम्मेलन में इस पहल का प्रस्ताव रखा था, जिसमें चुनाव आयुक्त डॉ. सुखबीर सिंह संधू और डॉ. विवेक जोशी भी मौजूद थे। आयोग ने सभी 6 राष्ट्रीय दलों को आमंत्रित किया और मई में 5 दलों के प्रमुखों एवं अधिकृत प्रतिनिधियों के साथ बैठकें पूरी कर ली हैं।
इसके अलावा, आयोग ने जुलाई और अगस्त में 17 मान्यता प्राप्त राज्य राजनीतिक दलों के साथ भी बातचीत की। शेष राजनीतिक दलों से चर्चा की प्रक्रिया जारी है। यह पहल पहले के केवल प्रतिनिधियों पर आधारित तरीकों से अलग है और इसका उद्देश्य सभी हितधारकों के साथ मौजूदा कानूनी ढांचे के तहत चुनावी प्रक्रिया को और मजबूत करना है।
इस तरह, चुनाव आयोग एसआईआर के माध्यम से मतदाता सूची की पारदर्शिता और भरोसे को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सक्रिय प्रयास कर रहा है।
