वन नेशन वन इलेक्शन विधेयक आज लोकसभा में पेश किया गया। इस विधेयक को लेकर विपक्ष ने मंगलवार को कड़ा विरोध जताया और इसे खारिज कर दिया। लोकसभा में सरकार और विपक्ष के बीच इस बिल को लेकर तकरार जारी है। टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया के अनुसार, विधेयक पेश किए जाने के बाद केंद्रीय कानून मंत्री अर्जुन राम मेघवाल ने लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला से अनुरोध किया कि इस विधेयक को व्यापक विचार-विमर्श के लिए संयुक्त समिति को भेजा जाए। 12 दिसंबर को केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने इस विधेयक को मंजूरी दी थी। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने इसे भारत के लोकतंत्र के लिए एक बड़ा और महत्वपूर्ण कदम बताया था।
‘नया संविधान लाने की कोशिश’: कांग्रेस
कांग्रेस पार्टी का कहना है कि यह विधेयक “असंवैधानिक” है और संविधान के “मूल ढांचे के खिलाफ” है। कांग्रेस ने आरोप लगाया कि भले ही भाजपा के एनडीए सहयोगी टीडीपी और जेडी(यू) इसका खुलकर विरोध न कर रहे हों, लेकिन वे भी इस विधेयक के पक्ष में नहीं हैं।
ANI से बातचीत में कांग्रेस सांसद जयराम रमेश ने कहा कि इस विधेयक का असल उद्देश्य देश में “लोकतंत्र और जवाबदेही का गला घोंटना” है। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि मौजूदा सरकार “नया संविधान लाने” की कोशिश कर रही है।
जयराम रमेश ने आगे कहा,
“हमारा मानना है कि यह विधेयक संविधान के मूल ढांचे के खिलाफ है और इसका मकसद देश में लोकतंत्र और जवाबदेही को कमजोर करना है।”
कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने भी 17 जनवरी को पूर्व राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद को पत्र लिखकर बताया था कि कांग्रेस पार्टी “एक राष्ट्र, एक चुनाव” के विचार का विरोध क्यों कर रही है।
