वाशिंगटन डीसी : कांग्रेस सांसद शशि थरूर ने राहुल गांधी के उस बयान पर प्रतिक्रिया दी है, जिसमें उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी पर अमेरिका के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के कहने पर पाकिस्तान से संघर्षविराम करने का आरोप लगाया था। राहुल गांधी ने इसे ‘नरेंदर सरेंडर’ कहा था। इस पर थरूर ने सफाई देते हुए कहा कि भारत को पाकिस्तान से निपटने के लिए किसी तीसरे देश की मदद की जरूरत नहीं है। भारत ने हमेशा यह साफ किया है कि अगर पाकिस्तान संघर्षविराम करता है, तो भारत भी जवाब में वैसा ही करेगा, लेकिन यह फैसला भारत का खुद का होता है, किसी और का नहीं।
शशि थरूर ने आगे कहा कि भारत ने अमेरिका या किसी अन्य देश से कभी नहीं कहा कि वह भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच मध्यस्थता करे। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की विदेश नीति और कूटनीति अपनी संप्रभुता के साथ चलती है और देश आतंकवाद के खिलाफ कड़ा रुख अपनाता है। थरूर ने यह भी कहा कि पाकिस्तान के साथ बातचीत तभी संभव है, जब वह आतंकवाद को खत्म करने के लिए गंभीर कदम उठाए।
थरूर के इस बयान से साफ है कि भारत अपनी सुरक्षा और विदेश नीति के मामलों में आत्मनिर्भर है और किसी भी बाहरी दबाव में आकर फैसला नहीं लेता। वहीं राहुल गांधी के बयान पर भाजपा ने भी नाराजगी जताई थी और इसे सेना और देश का अपमान बताया था।
