
400 Students Can Launch 400 New Companies in India
New Delhi: “With new opportunities come ups and downs, but always remember—Nation First, Always First,” said Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Railways, and Electronics & IT, as well as the Chancellor of IIMC, during the 56th Convocation Ceremony at IIMC, New Delhi. Encouraging students to embrace entrepreneurship, he highlighted their potential to establish media ventures. He also underscored the significance of digital advancements and ethical media practices in today’s evolving communication landscape.
The event was graced by IIMC’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Anupama Bhatnagar, along with Registrar Dr. Nimish Rustagi, Regional Directors, and Faculty Members. Dr. Bhatnagar reaffirmed IIMC’s commitment to equipping future media professionals with the necessary skills and expertise to thrive in the industry.
A total of 478 students from the 2023-24 batch were awarded Post Graduate Diplomas across IIMC’s main campus in New Delhi and its five regional centers—Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Amravati, Kottayam, and Jammu. In recognition of academic excellence, 36 outstanding students received medals and awards.
The convocation concluded with a sense of pride and optimism, as graduates embarked on their professional journeys, ready to make a meaningful impact in the media and communication sector.
