बस्ती: उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा राज्य के 12 स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सर्किटों के अंतर्गत बस्ती जिले के महुआ डाबर गांव को शामिल किया गया है। यह निर्णय ऐतिहासिक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण इस गांव को पर्यटन नक्शे पर लाने और इसके विकास को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से लिया गया है। इस संबंध में महानिदेशक पर्यटन मुकेश कुमार मेश्राम ने डीएम बस्ती को पत्र लिखकर महुआ डाबर में पर्यटक अवस्थापना सुविधाएं विकसित करने के लिए विस्तृत कार्ययोजना शासन को भेजने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
निदेशक पर्यटन ने बताया कि सर्किट के तहत पर्यटन स्थल विकसित करने हेतु 5 से 10 एकड़ भूमि की आवश्यकता होगी। यदि शासकीय भूमि उपलब्ध हो तो उसे पर्यटन विभाग के पक्ष में पुनर्ग्रहण किया जाए। अन्य विभागों की रिक्त भूमि और भवन को हस्तांतरित करने, निजी भूमि को आपसी सहमति से खरीदने, और भूमि दान के विकल्पों पर भी कार्य किया जाएगा। साथ ही, प्रवासी भारतीयों, सामाजिक संस्थाओं और स्थानीय लोगों से सहयोग लेने की अपील की गई है।
यह कदम बस्ती जिले को पर्यटन की दृष्टि से नई पहचान देगा और स्थानीय रोजगार तथा विकास के नए अवसर खोलेगा।
