पटना: लोकप्रिय लोकगायिका मैथिली ठाकुर अब राजनीति में कदम रखने की तैयारी में हैं। उन्होंने संकेत दिया है कि वे आगामी बिहार विधानसभा चुनाव में भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ सकती हैं। मैथिली ठाकुर ने कहा कि अगर पार्टी उन्हें मौका देती है, तो वे खुशी-खुशी बिहार की जनता की सेवा के लिए चुनाव मैदान में उतरेंगी।
मैथिली ठाकुर ने बताया कि वे अपने गृह क्षेत्र दरभंगा और मधुबनी से गहरा जुड़ाव महसूस करती हैं और चाहती हैं कि वहाँ के विकास में वे सक्रिय भूमिका निभाएं। उन्होंने कहा, “अगर पार्टी चाहती है, तो मैं अलीनगर या बेनीपट्टी सीट से चुनाव लड़ना पसंद करूंगी।”
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि उनका यह निर्णय भाजपा नेताओं नित्यानंद राय और विनोद तावड़े जैसे नेताओं से प्रेरित है, जिन्होंने उन्हें बिहार लौटकर जनसेवा करने की भावना दी।
गौरतलब है कि भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव विनोद तावड़े ने 5 अक्टूबर को मैथिली ठाकुर के साथ एक तस्वीर साझा की थी, जिसमें उन्होंने उल्लेख किया कि मैथिली ठाकुर का परिवार लालू यादव के शासनकाल में 1995 में बिहार छोड़कर दिल्ली चला गया था, लेकिन अब बिहार के विकास की रफ्तार देखकर वे वापस आना चाहती हैं।
