New Delhi: दिल्ली मेट्रो से सफर करने वाले यात्रियों को अब पहले से अधिक किराया चुकाना होगा, क्योंकि दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन (डीएमआरसी) ने सोमवार, 25 अगस्त 2025 से किराए में संशोधन लागू कर दिया है। आठ साल बाद यह पहली बार है जब किराए में बढ़ोतरी की गई है। पिछली बार 2017 में किराया संशोधित हुआ था। डीएमआरसी के अनुसार, किराए में मामूली बढ़ोतरी की गई है, जिसमें ज्यादातर लाइनों पर 1 रुपये से 4 रुपये तक की बढ़ोतरी होगी, जबकि एयरपोर्ट एक्सप्रेस लाइन पर यह बढ़ोतरी अधिकतम 5 रुपये तक होगी। नए किराए स्लैब के तहत अब 0 से 2 किलोमीटर की यात्रा के लिए न्यूनतम किराया 11 रुपये और 32 किलोमीटर से अधिक दूरी की यात्रा के लिए अधिकतम किराया 64 रुपये तय किया गया है।
दिल्ली-एनसीआर के 390 किलोमीटर से अधिक लंबे मेट्रो नेटवर्क और 285 से अधिक स्टेशनों पर यह संशोधित किराया लागू होगा। हालांकि, रविवार और राष्ट्रीय अवकाश के दिनों के लिए डीएमआरसी ने रियायती किराया स्लैब भी जारी किया है। इन दिनों यात्रियों को 5 किलोमीटर तक की यात्रा के लिए अधिकतम 11 रुपये और लंबी दूरी (32 किलोमीटर से अधिक) के लिए अधिकतम 54 रुपये देने होंगे। किराया वृद्धि पर यात्रियों और सोशल मीडिया यूजर्स ने जीवन-यापन लागत बढ़ने की चिंता जताई है और डीएमआरसी से पारदर्शिता की मांग की है। वहीं, अधिकारियों का कहना है कि सेवा मानकों और बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास के लिए यह कदम जरूरी है।
