New Delhi: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने ग्रुप कैप्टन शुभांशु शुक्ला की अंतरिक्ष यात्रा को भारत के लिए गौरव का क्षण बताते हुए कहा कि वह “140 करोड़ भारतीयों की उम्मीदें और आकांक्षाएं अपने साथ लेकर अंतरिक्ष में गए हैं।” Axiom Mission-4 के तहत शुभांशु शुक्ला अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन (ISS) के लिए रवाना हुए हैं, जहां वे लगभग 14 दिन रहेंगे और 60 से अधिक वैज्ञानिक प्रयोग करेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री ने इस मिशन को भारत की अंतरिक्ष क्षेत्र में “मजबूत वापसी” का प्रतीक बताया और कहा कि यह कदम आने वाले समय में गगनयान जैसे मानव अंतरिक्ष उड़ान अभियानों को प्रेरणा देगा।
शुक्ला भारत के दूसरे ऐसे अंतरिक्ष यात्री हैं जो अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अंतरिक्ष में गए हैं, पहले भारतीय राकेश शर्मा 1984 में गए थे। शुभांशु शुक्ला की इस उड़ान को राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु ने भी ऐतिहासिक बताया और इसे भारत और अमेरिका की साझेदारी की मिसाल कहा। यह मिशन अमेरिकी कंपनी Axiom Space द्वारा संचालित है और इसमें पूर्व NASA अंतरिक्ष यात्री पैगी व्हिटसन कमांडर के रूप में हैं।
