Mumbai: Winpe successfully hosted the third edition of the Winpe Leadership Summit & Awards (WLSA) at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The event brought together top PE-VC leaders to address the need for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the investment ecosystem. The awards honored firms and individuals leading this change.
Despite progress, women hold less than 20% of PE-VC roles and face leadership barriers. Key industry players like Warburg Pincus, ChrysCapital, Multiples, Everstone, and Peak XV actively support Winpe’s mission.
Winpe founder Nupur Garg emphasized the urgent need for action: “Diversity drives better returns, yet women remain underrepresented. The time for silent support is over—measurable change is needed.”
WLSA 2025 featured 65 speakers, 400+ attendees, expert panels, and masterclasses on fundraising, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Notable participants included ChrysCapital, Kedaara Capital, Fireside Ventures, MobiKwik, and Morgan Stanley.
The Winpe Leadership Awards recognized top performers, including India Alternatives (PE Firm of the Year), Elevar Equity (VC Firm of the Year), Multiples (Deal of the Year – PE), and Fireside Ventures (Deal of the Year – VC).
As DEI faces challenges, Winpe 2025 reaffirmed the need for visibility, action, and impact—ensuring diversity remains a priority in the investment sector.
