महाराष्ट्र में नई सरकार के गठन के कुछ समय बाद ही मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने एक अहम निर्णय लिया। मुख्यमंत्री पद की शपथ लेने के बाद, फडणवीस ने मुख्यमंत्री सहायता कोष की एक फाइल पर हस्ताक्षर किए, जिसके तहत पुणे के एक मरीज को 5 लाख रुपये की चिकित्सा सहायता प्रदान करने का निर्देश दिया गया।

चंद्रकांत कुरहाड़े की पत्नी ने सरकार से अपने पति के इलाज के लिए मदद मांगी थी और मुख्यमंत्री सहायता कोष से वित्तीय सहायता की अपील की थी, जिसे मुख्यमंत्री ने तुरंत मंजूर कर लिया।

सरकार गठन में देरी के सवाल पर फडणवीस ने कहा, “मुझे नहीं लगता सरकार बनाने में कोई देरी हुई है। 2004 में भी चुनावी नतीजों के 12-13 दिन बाद नई सरकार बनी थी, और 2009 में भी सरकार का गठन 9 दिन बाद हुआ था। गठबंधन सरकार बनने में समय लगता है, क्योंकि कई फैसले और विचार-विमर्श होते हैं।”
फडणवीस के इस निर्णय को राज्य में बेहतर चिकित्सा सहायता और सरकार की त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है।
