1 सितंबर से 30 सितंबर तक चलेगा राज्यव्यापी अभियान
Lucknow: उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने सड़क सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए ‘नो हेलमेट, नो फ्यूल’ अभियान की घोषणा की है। यह अभियान 1 से 30 सितंबर तक चलेगा। इसके तहत बिना हेलमेट पहने दोपहिया वाहन चालकों को पेट्रोल पंप पर ईंधन नहीं मिलेगा।
अभियान का नेतृत्व जिला मजिस्ट्रेट करेंगे और इसमें पुलिस, परिवहन, राजस्व व जिला प्रशासन की टीमें मिलकर काम करेंगी। सरकार का कहना है कि यह कदम जुर्माना वसूली के लिए नहीं, बल्कि लोगों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए है। मोटर वाहन अधिनियम 1988 की धारा 129 के अनुसार चालक और पीछे बैठने वाले दोनों के लिए हेलमेट पहनना अनिवार्य है।
परिवहन आयुक्त बृजेश नारायण सिंह ने कहा,“नो हेलमेट, नो फ्यूल दंड नहीं, बल्कि सुरक्षा की शपथ है। हेलमेट पहले, ईंधन बाद में, इसे सभी लोग नियम बनाएं। हेलमेट जीवन बचाने का सबसे आसान बीमा है।”
अभियान की निगरानी के लिए खाद्य एवं रसद विभाग को पेट्रोल पंपों पर समन्वय का जिम्मा दिया गया है, जबकि सूचना एवं जनसंपर्क विभाग जागरूकता फैलाएगा।
राज्य सरकार का लक्ष्य है कि इस पहल से सड़क हादसों में मौतों और गंभीर चोटों को कम किया जाए और नागरिक, उद्योग और प्रशासन मिलकर सड़क सुरक्षा को मजबूत बनाएं।
