NASA: भारतीय वायुसेना के ग्रुप कैप्टन शुभांशु शुक्ला आज Axiom Mission-4 (Ax-4) के तहत अंतरिक्ष में उड़ान भरने जा रहे हैं। वह इस मिशन में पायलट की अहम भूमिका निभाएंगे और अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन (ISS) की ओर रवाना होंगे। यह मिशन भारत के अंतरिक्ष इतिहास में एक और गौरवपूर्ण अध्याय जोड़ने जा रहा है। लखनऊ में जन्मे शुक्ला एक अनुभवी फाइटर पायलट हैं जिन्हें 2000 से अधिक घंटों की उड़ान का अनुभव है।
शुक्ला ने Su-30 MKI, मिग-21, मिग-29 जैसे कई विमानों को उड़ाया है। वर्ष 2019 में उन्होंने रूस के यूरी गागरिन ट्रेनिंग सेंटर में कठोर अंतरिक्ष प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया। उन्हें फरवरी 2024 में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा गगनयान मिशन के लिए चुने गए चार अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों में शामिल किया गया था।
अब वे NASA के कैनेडी स्पेस सेंटर से रवाना होने वाले इस ऐतिहासिक मिशन का हिस्सा हैं, जिसमें उनके साथ पूर्व NASA अंतरिक्ष यात्री पैगी व्हिटसन कमांडर होंगी। व्हिटसन ने शुभांशु की तकनीकी समझ और क्षमता की प्रशंसा की है।
शुक्ला ने कहा कि यह यात्रा उनके जीवन का सबसे रोमांचक पल है। उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई कि उनकी कहानी भारत के युवाओं को प्रेरित करेगी। 1984 में राकेश शर्मा के बाद यह मिशन भारतीय अंतरिक्ष इतिहास में एक नया मील का पत्थर साबित हो सकता है।
