प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शुक्रवार को दिल्लीवासियों को नए साल का खास तोहफा दिया। उन्होंने दिल्ली के अशोक विहार स्थित स्वाभिमान अपार्टमेंट में इन-सीटू स्लम पुनर्वास परियोजना के तहत झुग्गियों के निवासियों के लिए नवनिर्मित फ्लैटों की चाबियां सौंपीं। इस अवसर पर पीएम मोदी ने दिल्ली में कई अन्य विकास परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और शिलान्यास भी किया। उन्होंने कुल 1,675 नवनिर्मित फ्लैटों का उद्घाटन किया और लाभार्थियों को स्वाभिमान अपार्टमेंट की चाबियां सौंपी।
नवनिर्मित फ्लैटों के उद्घाटन से दिल्ली विकास प्राधिकरण (DDA) की दूसरी सफल इन-सीटू स्लम पुनर्वास परियोजना पूरी हुई है। इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य झुग्गी बस्तियों के निवासियों को बेहतर और स्वास्थ्यपूर्ण माहौल प्रदान करना है। इन फ्लैटों के निर्माण पर खर्च किए गए प्रत्येक 25 लाख रुपये में से पात्र लाभार्थियों को कुल राशि का 7 प्रतिशत से भी कम भुगतान करना होगा, जिसमें 1.42 लाख रुपये का नाममात्र योगदान और 5 साल के रखरखाव के लिए 30,000 रुपये शामिल हैं।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने दो शहरी पुनर्विकास परियोजनाओं, नौरोजी नगर में विश्व व्यापार केंद्र (WTC) और सरोजिनी नगर में जनरल पूल आवासीय आवास (GPRA) टाइप-II क्वार्टर का भी उद्घाटन किया। नौरोजी नगर में विश्व व्यापार केंद्र ने 600 से अधिक जीर्ण-शीर्ण क्वार्टरों को आधुनिक कमर्शियल टावरों में बदलकर इस इलाके का कायाकल्प किया है, जिससे लगभग 34 लाख वर्ग फ़ीट प्रीमियम कमर्शियल स्पेस उपलब्ध हुई है। इसमें शून्य-निर्वहन अवधारणा, सौर ऊर्जा उत्पादन और वर्षा जल संचयन प्रणाली जैसे हरित भवन कार्यप्रणालियों को शामिल किया गया है।
सरोजिनी नगर में 28 टावरों में 2500 से अधिक आवासीय इकाइयां हैं, जिनमें आधुनिक सुविधाओं का समावेश है। इसके अलावा, पीएम मोदी ने दिल्ली के द्वारका में सीबीएसई के नए कार्यालय परिसर का भी उद्घाटन किया, जिस पर लगभग 300 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए गए हैं। यह इमारत पर्यावरण के अनुकूल तरीके से बनाई गई है और इसे भारतीय हरित भवन परिषद (IGBC) के प्लेटिनम रेटिंग के मानकों के अनुसार तैयार किया गया है।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी में 600 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की लागत वाली 3 नए प्रोजेक्ट की शुरुआत भी की। इनमें पूर्वी दिल्ली के सूरजमल विहार में एक नया अकादमिक ब्लॉक, द्वारका के पश्चिमी परिसर में एक और अकादमिक ब्लॉक और नजफगढ़ के रोशनपुरा में वीर सावरकर कॉलेज का नया भवन शामिल है।
