New Delhi: दिल्ली से मेरठ की यात्रा अब और भी तेज़ और सुगम होने जा रही है। नमो भारत क्षेत्रीय रैपिड ट्रांजिट सिस्टम (RRTS) कॉरिडोर पर सराय काले खां (दिल्ली) से मोदीपुरम (मेरठ) के बीच सफल ट्रायल पूरा हो गया है। इस ट्रायल के दौरान ट्रेन ने अधिकतम 160 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से दौड़ते हुए दोनों शहरों के बीच की दूरी एक घंटे से भी कम समय में तय की। यह ट्रायल देश में हाई-स्पीड रीजनल रेल के क्षेत्र में एक बड़ी उपलब्धि मानी जा रही है।
NCRTC द्वारा संचालित इस कॉरिडोर की कुल लंबाई 82 किलोमीटर है, जिसमें से फिलहाल 55 किलोमीटर का हिस्सा आम यात्रियों के लिए खुला है। नई तकनीक से लैस इस ट्रेन में यूरोपियन लेवल-3 हाइब्रिड सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम, प्लेटफॉर्म स्क्रीन डोर्स (PSD) और LTE आधारित कम्युनिकेशन सिस्टम का इस्तेमाल किया गया है। खास बात यह भी रही कि ट्रायल के दौरान मेरठ मेट्रो और नमो भारत ट्रेन ने एक ही ट्रैक साझा किया, जो भारत में पहली बार हुआ है।
फिलहाल सराय काले खां से न्यू अशोक नगर और मेरठ साउथ से मोदीपुरम तक के कुछ हिस्सों पर ट्रायल जारी है। NCRTC का लक्ष्य है कि जून 2025 के अंत तक पूरा कॉरिडोर चालू हो जाए, जिससे दिल्ली और मेरठ के बीच यात्रा समय घटकर केवल 45 से 60 मिनट रह जाएगा।
यह परियोजना न केवल यात्रा को तेज़ और सुविधाजनक बनाएगी, बल्कि NCR क्षेत्र में ट्रैफिक और प्रदूषण को भी कम करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएगी। आने वाले समय में यह आधुनिक सार्वजनिक परिवहन व्यवस्था भारत की शहरी गतिशीलता को एक नई दिशा दे सकती है।
