Karzok, Ladakh UT: The “Let’s Spread Warmth at Puga” initiative, led by the Headlight Foundation in partnership with Giesecke & Devrient MS India Pvt Ltd. (G&D), was successfully inaugurated today at Govt. Nomadic Residential High School, Puga. This milestone project aims to tackle the educational and infrastructural challenges faced by children in Ladakh’s high-altitude, remote regions.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Tsering Angchuk, Hon’ble Deputy Chairman, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, along with Mr. Karma Namdak, Councillor, Karzok, both emphasizing the importance of empowering Ladakh’s future generations.
At the heart of this initiative is the installation of high-efficiency heating systems in classrooms, providing a warm and safe learning environment for over 100 students who previously endured sub-zero temperatures in pursuit of education. The newly introduced systems offer much-needed relief, allowing students to focus on their academic growth without disruption.
Rajendra Prasad, Co-Founder of the Headlight Foundation & Royal Bikers, shared, “Today’s achievement reflects the dedication of everyone who believed in this mission. By ensuring warmth and comfort, we are giving the children of Puga a true opportunity to thrive.”
