Bengaluru: Eka Care, India’s leading connected healthcare platform, has announced rapid adoption of EkaScribe, its AI-powered ambient medical scribe designed to simplify clinical documentation and improve patient care.

EkaScribe listens to doctor–patient conversations during consultations and automatically generates structured clinical notes in real time. Fully integrated with Eka Care’s EMR system and compliant with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) standards, EkaScribe can also work with other EMR/EHR platforms, ensuring interoperability across hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers.

“Doctors in India spend nearly a third of their consultation time on typing or writing notes. EkaScribe gives that time back, letting doctors focus on patient care,” said Vikalp Sahni, Founder of Eka Care.

The platform supports multiple Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Gujarati, and accepts both voice and text input. Beyond note-taking, it can generate prescriptions, symptom logs, medical histories, and even process uploaded audio into structured insights. EkaScribe is powered by Eka’s in-house “Parrotlet” AI model, built for reasoning, document understanding, and multilingual comprehension.

Since launch, EkaScribe has seen strong adoption across healthcare providers. Early users, including Clinikk, reported saving over an hour daily on paperwork while capturing richer patient context during consultations.

By easing documentation, EkaScribe reduces physician fatigue and supports the creation of longitudinal health records, enabling patients to access structured digital records via the Eka Care app.

“Generative AI is transforming industries, and EkaScribe shows its true impact in healthcare,” added Deepak Tuli, Co-founder, Eka Care.
