New Delhi: दिल्ली में वायु प्रदूषण पर नियंत्रण के लिए एक बड़ा कदम उठाते हुए 1 जुलाई 2025 से पुराने पेट्रोल और डीजल वाहनों को ईंधन देने पर रोक लगा दी गई है। अब 10 साल से अधिक पुराने डीजल और 15 साल से अधिक पुराने पेट्रोल वाहनों को राजधानी के किसी भी पेट्रोल पंप से फ्यूल नहीं मिलेगा। इस फैसले का उद्देश्य प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले वाहनों को सड़कों से हटाना और सुप्रीम कोर्ट व एयर क्वालिटी मैनेजमेंट कमीशन (CAQM) के निर्देशों का पालन करना है।
इसके लिए दिल्ली के लगभग 500 पेट्रोल पंपों पर ANPR (ऑटोमैटिक नंबर प्लेट रिकग्निशन) कैमरे लगाए गए हैं, जो वाहनों की उम्र को तुरंत पहचानकर अलर्ट सिस्टम के जरिए स्टाफ को सचेत करेंगे। यदि प्रतिबंधित वाहन पहचाना जाता है, तो पेट्रोल पंप कर्मचारी ईंधन देने से इनकार करेंगे। साथ ही परिवहन विभाग, ट्रैफिक पुलिस और एमसीडी की टीमें भी निगरानी के लिए तैनात रहेंगी। नियम तोड़ने पर ₹10,000 तक का जुर्माना और वाहन जब्ती की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
हर दिन कितने वाहनों को ईंधन नहीं दिया गया, इसकी रिपोर्ट तैयार कर केंद्र और दिल्ली सरकार को सौंपी जाएगी। फिलहाल यह नियम केवल दिल्ली तक सीमित है, लेकिन NCR के अन्य शहरों जैसे नोएडा, गुरुग्राम, फरीदाबाद आदि में इसे नवंबर 2025 से लागू करने की योजना है। इस व्यवस्था में अभी कुछ चुनौतियाँ भी सामने आ रही हैं, जैसे कि कुछ पंपों पर कैमरे या अलर्ट सिस्टम पूरी तरह से काम नहीं कर रहे हैं, लेकिन प्रशासन इसे जल्द दुरुस्त करने की दिशा में प्रयासरत है। कुल मिलाकर, यह कदम दिल्ली को स्वच्छ और सुरक्षित बनाने की दिशा में एक अहम पहल माना जा रहा है।
