New Delhi: सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिवाली से पहले दिल्ली-एनसीआर में ग्रीन पटाखों की बिक्री और उपयोग की अनुमति दे दी है। अदालत ने स्पष्ट किया है कि केवल वही पटाखे बेचे और जलाए जा सकते हैं जो प्रदूषण कम करते हैं और जिनमें बेरियम नाइट्रेट जैसे हानिकारक रसायन न हों। यह आदेश मुख्य न्यायाधीश बी.आर. गवई की अध्यक्षता वाली बेंच ने जारी किया। कोर्ट ने कहा कि ग्रीन पटाखे पारंपरिक पटाखों की तुलना में लगभग 30 प्रतिशत तक कम प्रदूषण फैलाते हैं।
आदेश के अनुसार, पटाखे जलाने का समय भी सीमित रहेगा, दिवाली के दिन और उससे एक दिन पहले सुबह 6 से 7 बजे और रात 8 से 10 बजे तक ही पटाखे फोड़े जा सकेंगे। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि ई-कॉमर्स प्लेटफॉर्म पर पटाखों की बिक्री पूरी तरह प्रतिबंधित रहेगी और केवल अधिकृत विक्रेता ही निर्दिष्ट स्थानों पर ग्रीन पटाखे बेच सकेंगे। अदालत ने स्थानीय प्रशासन को निर्देश दिया है कि वे बिक्री केंद्रों की निगरानी करें और किसी भी गैरकानूनी या प्रदूषणकारी पटाखे की बिक्री पर कड़ी कार्रवाई करें। अदालत का कहना है कि यह निर्णय लोगों की खुशियों और पर्यावरण संरक्षण के बीच संतुलन बनाए रखने के उद्देश्य से लिया गया है।
