Central to this initiative is an integrated QR-based ticketing system, designed to provide seamless access to metro services and historic landmarks, serving both domestic and international travelers.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has partnered with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce a streamlined ticketing system. This collaboration allows travelers to conveniently purchase metro passes and entry tickets for iconic ASI-protected monuments, including Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort, and Purana Qila, via DMRC’s Momentum 2.0 Delhi Sarthi mobile app.
The agreement was signed in a ceremony attended by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC, and Anand Madhukar, Additional Director General (Admin) of ASI.
At the core of this initiative is an integrated QR-based ticketing system, offering a hassle-free experience for accessing metro services and historic sites, benefiting both domestic and international visitors.
“This collaboration will facilitate easy and convenient access for tourists and the general public through a unified ticketing solution covering metro travel and monument entry,” the DMRC said in a post on X.
The partnership also seeks to celebrate Delhi’s cultural heritage by launching collaborative campaigns, organizing events, and utilizing digital platforms to showcase the architectural and historical importance of these monuments.
ASI signages and standees will be placed at select metro stations, providing travelers with historical insights and inspiring them to explore Delhi’s rich legacy.
