केंद्र सरकार EPFO 3.0 प्लान का एलान करने की योजना बना रही है, जिसमें कर्मचारियों को कई नई सुविधाएं मिल सकती हैं। सूत्रों के अनुसार, इस प्लान के तहत EPFO पीएफ में कर्मचारी के कंट्रीब्यूशन पर 12 फीसदी की सीमा को हटा दिया जा सकता है। इसके अलावा, कर्मचारियों को अपने PF को सीधे ATM से निकालने की सुविधा भी मिल सकती है।
सूत्रों के अनुसार इस नए प्लान में कर्मचारियों को अपनी बचत के हिसाब से योगदान करने का विकल्प मिलेगा, और वे चाहें तो सीमा से अधिक राशि किसी भी समय अपने पीएफ में जमा कर सकेंगे। हालांकि, एम्प्लॉयर का योगदान अभी भी कर्मचारी की सैलरी के आधार पर तय किया जाएगा। फिलहाल इस पर चर्चा शुरूआती चरण में है, और सरकार का उद्देश्य कर्मचारियों को अधिक बचत करने की स्वतंत्रता देना है।
इसके अतिरिक्त, कर्मचारियों को अपने पीएफ को हायर पेंशन में बदलने का भी विकल्प मिल सकता है। साथ ही, लेबर मिनिस्ट्री पीएफ विड्रॉ के लिए कार्ड जारी करने की योजना बना रही है, जिससे ग्राहक ATM के जरिए अपने PF को निकाल सकेंगे। यह सुविधा मई-जून 2025 तक लागू हो सकती है।
