सोमवार को फ्लोरिडा से ‘ज्वाइंट बेस एंड्रयूज’ लौटते समय एयर फोर्स वन में पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए ट्रंप ने कहा, “मेरी प्रधानमंत्री मोदी से लंबी बातचीत हुई। वह संभवतः फरवरी में व्हाइट हाउस आएंगे। भारत और अमेरिका के बीच बेहद अच्छे संबंध हैं।”
गौरतलब है कि राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप के पहले कार्यकाल की आखिरी विदेश यात्रा भारत की थी। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी और राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप के बीच घनिष्ठ मित्रवत संबंध रहे हैं। दोनों नेताओं ने 2019 में ह्यूस्टन और 2020 में अहमदाबाद में भव्य रैलियों को संबोधित किया था। इसके अलावा, नवंबर 2024 में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में ट्रंप की शानदार जीत के बाद प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने उन्हें बधाई देने वाले विश्व के पहले तीन नेताओं में जगह बनाई थी।
