नई दिल्ली: भारत का डेटा सेंटर उद्योग अभूतपूर्व विकास की ओर बढ़ रहा है। ताजा रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, देश की डेटा सेंटर क्षमता वर्ष 2027 तक 77% बढ़कर 1.8 गीगावाट तक पहुंचने की उम्मीद है। साल 2024 में 1 गीगावाट की क्षमता का ऐतिहासिक मील का पत्थर पार करने के बाद यह सेक्टर अब नई ऊंचाइयों की ओर अग्रसर है।
2019 से 24% CAGR के साथ तेजी से बढ़ा डेटा सेंटर सेक्टर
रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 2019 से भारतीय डेटा सेंटर उद्योग ने 24% की कंपाउंड एनुअल ग्रोथ रेट (CAGR) दर्ज की है। जेएलएल की लेटेस्ट रिपोर्ट बताती है कि क्लाउड सर्विस प्रोवाइडर्स की बढ़ती मांग और आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) सेक्टर में तेजी भारत को ग्लोबल डिजिटल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर मैप पर एक उभरती हुई शक्ति बना रहे हैं।
मुंबई बना भारत का सबसे बड़ा डेटा सेंटर हब
भारत के डेटा सेंटर बाजार में मुंबई सबसे आगे है, जो देश की कुल क्षमता का 52% हिस्सा रखता है। यह स्थिति मुंबई को भारत के डिजिटल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का मुख्य केंद्र बनाती है। वहीं चेन्नई 21% क्षमता के साथ दूसरे स्थान पर है। बेंगलुरु और हैदराबाद जैसे बड़े टेक्नोलॉजी हब भी इस रेस में शामिल हैं, जिनकी हिस्सेदारी 7-7% है।
भारत में 785 मेगावाट की नई डेटा सेंटर क्षमता जुड़ने की उम्मीद
जेएलएल के एपीएसी लीड (डेटा सेंटर कोलोकेशन लीजिंग), रचित मोहन के अनुसार, भारत का AI मिशन देशभर में AI को अपनाने को बढ़ावा देगा और $1 ट्रिलियन डिजिटल इकोनॉमी के लक्ष्य को मजबूती देगा। इसके लिए 5 बिलियन डॉलर के निवेश के साथ 785 मेगावाट आईटी लोड की नई डेटा सेंटर सप्लाई जुड़ने की उम्मीद है।
हालांकि, मोहन ने यह भी कहा कि भविष्य में अमेरिका की टेक्नोलॉजी ट्रांसफर नीतियों का असर भारत की मांग वृद्धि पर पड़ सकता है। वर्तमान में BFSI (बैंकिंग, फाइनेंशियल सर्विसेज और इंश्योरेंस) सेक्टर और टेक्नोलॉजी इंडस्ट्री डेटा सेंटर ऑक्यूपेंसी में क्रमश: 18% और 12% का योगदान दे रहे हैं।
2024 की दूसरी छमाही में 51% की सालाना सप्लाई ग्रोथ
2024 की दूसरी छमाही (जुलाई-दिसंबर) में भारतीय डेटा सेंटर सेक्टर ने जबरदस्त प्रदर्शन किया है। इस अवधि में सप्लाई 51% बढ़कर 114 मेगावाट तक पहुंच गई। जेएलएल के चीफ इकोनॉमिस्ट सामंतक दास का कहना है कि भारत का डेटा सेंटर उद्योग तकनीकी प्रगति और सरकार की अनुकूल नीतियों के चलते तेजी से आगे बढ़ेगा।
