Finance: TVS Capital Funds (TCF), a leading growth equity firm focused on India, has announced a strategic reconstitution of its Board of Directors. This move is aligned with the firm’s commitment to driving India’s transformation into a $10 trillion economy. As a “Designed-for-India” investment platform, TCF’s refreshed board structure is set to bolster its partnership-driven model, enrich sectoral expertise, and reinforce governance across its expanding portfolio of founder-led businesses.

The restructuring marks a significant leadership transition, aimed at deepening institutional capabilities and supporting long-term value creation. Mr. R Thyagarajan, who played a foundational role in shaping TVS Capital Funds, has concluded his formal board responsibilities. Renowned for his clarity of thought and principled leadership, Mr. Thyagarajan will continue to guide the firm as Mentor Emeritus, offering strategic counsel and preserving the firm’s core values of governance and discipline.

Alongside, Mr. Pradeep Kumar and Mr. Rajeev Gupta are stepping down from active board duties after years of exemplary service. Their vision and stewardship have been pivotal in establishing TVS Capital’s culture of excellence, and the firm has expressed deep gratitude for their enduring impact.

As part of the leadership renewal, TCF has appointed three accomplished professionals as Independent Directors. Mr. Shyam Srinivasan, former MD & CEO of Federal Bank, joins as Senior Advisor and Operating Partner, bringing deep financial services expertise and insights into institution-building. Ms. Subhasri Sriram, MD & CEO of Shriram Capital, offers over three decades of leadership in financial services and corporate governance. Mr. Mithun Sacheti, Founder and ex-MD of CaratLane, adds entrepreneurial insight and experience in scaling digital-first consumer brands.

Welcoming the new board members, Mr. Gopal Srinivasan, Chairman and MD of TVS Capital Funds, stated, “The addition of Mithun, Subhasri, and Shyam marks a pivotal moment in our journey. Their diverse experience and shared values will strengthen our mission to back purposeful entrepreneurs and enduring businesses. At the same time, we remain deeply grateful to Mr. R Thyagarajan, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, and Mr. Rajeev Gupta, whose contributions have been central to our growth. Mr. Thyagarajan’s continued mentorship is a source of inspiration.”

Commenting on their appointments, Shyam Srinivasan expressed his excitement, saying, “I am pleased to join TVS Capital Funds as an Independent Director. It is exciting to help shape a values-led institution that powers future-ready businesses and leaders for Bharat.” Subhasri Sriram added, “TVS Capital’s legacy of nurturing NextGen entrepreneurs resonates deeply with my values, and I look forward to contributing to India’s next growth wave.” Mithun Sacheti shared, “It is a privilege to be part of a firm committed to ideas-based investing and building with integrity. I look forward to learning and contributing alongside an exceptional board.”

This board reconstitution reaffirms TVS Capital Funds’ long-term vision and strategic agility as it continues to empower entrepreneurs, deepen impact, and invest in the future of India.
