New Delhi: दिल्ली में 1 जुलाई 2025 से पुराने पेट्रोल और डीज़ल वाहनों पर ईंधन भरवाने की सख्त रोक लागू होने जा रही है। दिल्ली सरकार के आदेश के अनुसार, 15 साल से पुराने पेट्रोल वाहन और 10 साल से पुराने डीज़ल वाहन अब शहर के किसी भी पेट्रोल पंप से ईंधन नहीं भरवा सकेंगे। इस नियम को सख्ती से लागू करने के लिए राजधानी के लगभग 520 पेट्रोल पंपों पर ऑटोमेटेड नंबर प्लेट रेकग्निशन (ANPR) कैमरे लगाए जा रहे हैं, जो वाहन के नंबर को स्कैन करके उसकी उम्र जांचेंगे। जैसे ही कोई प्रतिबंधित वाहन ईंधन भरवाने पहुंचेगा, कैमरे से जुड़ा अलर्ट तुरंत विभागीय टीम को भेजा जाएगा और उस वाहन पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
इस अभियान को सफल बनाने के लिए MCD, ट्रैफिक पुलिस और परिवहन विभाग की करीब 200 टीमें मैदान में उतरेंगी। अगर कोई प्रतिबंधित वाहन पकड़ा जाता है, तो उस पर ₹5,000 से ₹10,000 तक का जुर्माना लगाया जाएगा और ज़रूरत पड़ी तो वाहन को स्क्रैपिंग सेंटर भेजा जाएगा। आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, दिल्ली में फिलहाल 62 लाख से अधिक ऐसे पुराने वाहन रजिस्टर्ड हैं, जिनमें 41 लाख दोपहिया और 18 लाख चारपहिया वाहन शामिल हैं।
सरकार का मानना है कि यह कदम वायु प्रदूषण को कम करने में अहम भूमिका निभाएगा, क्योंकि पुराने वाहनों से होने वाला प्रदूषण नए वाहनों की तुलना में कई गुना अधिक होता है। यह नियम फिलहाल दिल्ली में लागू होगा, जबकि एनसीआर के अन्य शहरों जैसे गुरुग्राम, फरीदाबाद, नोएडा, गाज़ियाबाद आदि में यह 1 नवंबर 2025 से और पूरे एनसीआर में 1 अप्रैल 2026 से लागू किया जाएगा। यह निर्णय दिल्ली की हवा को साफ करने की दिशा में एक बड़ा और तकनीकी रूप से सशक्त कदम माना जा रहा है।
