प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी फरवरी में अमेरिका का दौरा कर सकते हैं। सोमवार को अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप से फोन पर बातचीत के बाद इस दौरे की संभावना जताई गई। राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप ने खुद इसकी जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी फरवरी में व्हाइट हाउस में उनसे मुलाकात कर सकते हैं।
सोमवार को फ्लोरिडा से ‘ज्वाइंट बेस एंड्रयूज’ लौटते समय एयर फोर्स वन में पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए ट्रंप ने कहा, “मेरी प्रधानमंत्री मोदी से लंबी बातचीत हुई। वह संभवतः फरवरी में व्हाइट हाउस आएंगे। भारत और अमेरिका के बीच बेहद अच्छे संबंध हैं।”
गौरतलब है कि राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप के पहले कार्यकाल की आखिरी विदेश यात्रा भारत की थी। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी और राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप के बीच घनिष्ठ मित्रवत संबंध रहे हैं। दोनों नेताओं ने 2019 में ह्यूस्टन और 2020 में अहमदाबाद में भव्य रैलियों को संबोधित किया था। इसके अलावा, नवंबर 2024 में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में ट्रंप की शानदार जीत के बाद प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने उन्हें बधाई देने वाले विश्व के पहले तीन नेताओं में जगह बनाई थी।
व्हाइट हाउस के मुताबिक, दोनों नेताओं ने अमेरिका-भारत रणनीतिक साझेदारी और हिंद-प्रशांत क्षेत्र में क्वाड सहयोग को बढ़ाने पर चर्चा की। साथ ही प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की संभावित व्हाइट हाउस यात्रा की योजनाओं पर भी विचार-विमर्श हुआ। ट्रंप और मोदी ने हिंद-प्रशांत, मध्य पूर्व और यूरोप में सुरक्षा और सहयोग के साथ द्विपक्षीय व्यापार संबंधों को गहरा करने पर भी जोर दिया। राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप ने भारत द्वारा अमेरिका में निर्मित सुरक्षा उपकरणों की खरीद बढ़ाने के महत्व पर भी चर्चा की।
व्हाइट हाउस के बयान के अनुसार, इस साल के अंत में भारत पहली बार क्वाड नेताओं की मेजबानी करेगा, जिससे दोनों देशों के संबंध और गहरे होंगे। पीएम मोदी ने ट्रंप को अमेरिका के 47वें राष्ट्रपति के रूप में शपथ ग्रहण करने पर शुभकामनाएं दी थीं। उन्होंने सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म ‘एक्स’ पर लिखा, “प्रिय मित्र डोनाल्ड ट्रंप को अमेरिका के 47वें राष्ट्रपति के रूप में शपथ लेने पर बधाई। हमारे देशों और दुनिया के लिए बेहतर भविष्य बनाने की दिशा में साथ काम करने के लिए उत्सुक हूं।”
डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के शपथ ग्रहण समारोह में भारत की ओर से विदेश मंत्री डॉ. एस. जयशंकर ने भी हिस्सा लिया था। इस संभावित दौरे से दोनों देशों के बीच दोस्ती और रणनीतिक सहयोग को और मजबूती मिलने की उम्मीद है।
